Planning LED tennis court lighting for your club or tennis centre? Start with the way your courts are used, the existing installation and the quality of light players need. The right proposal should explain the layout and running costs, not simply list floodlight wattages.
Start with your players and your courts
Tell your lighting designer whether the courts support recreational play, coaching or competition. Include the number of courts, their arrangement and whether they are indoors or outdoors. A single court and adjoining courts need their own assessment; a layout should not be copied from another site without checking it.
Look beyond brightness
Players need to follow the ball across the court and through the air. Discuss light distribution, glare, mounting positions and the intended level of play. For outdoor courts, consider light spilling beyond the site as part of the design. The ITF Facilities Guide provides background on these design considerations; the applicable requirements should be confirmed for your project.
Indoor and outdoor tennis lighting
For an indoor tennis centre, provide ceiling heights, roof structure and photographs of the playing area. For outdoor courts, provide pole heights and positions, nearby buildings and any operating restrictions. Ask for a proposal that makes its assumptions clear before agreeing to equipment.
Compare complete proposals
Check fixture specifications, quantities, lighting calculations, delivery, installation scope and warranty terms. Ask which costs are included and which remain separate. A lower purchase price alone does not establish better value over the life of the installation.
Discuss your tennis lighting project
Global LED Lights is expanding into tennis lighting with LEDBERG. Send your court location, dimensions, photographs and intended use so we can discuss a project-specific proposal. Tennis equipment, pricing and delivery are confirmed individually; the squash fixtures and standard squash shipping rates on this shop are not a tennis quotation.
